I’m sent all kinds of stuff to review on my website. I only except products that I think I would like (that meet my requirements of being whole food, low in sugar, healthy, etc) and review the ones that I dig. It’s important to me to lift up the people and companies that are aligned with my own mission and values. Time to spread some love to some products I received lately! Simply Bar
This bar is Vegan, Gluten-Free, Sugar-Free (sweetened with brown rice syrup), has 16 grams of protein and only 160 calories. Say what?! It’s rare to find a (non-raw) bar that can truly be called “healthy” but this is it! Flavors include: Carmel Peanut, Peanut Butter Chocolate, Cinnamon Pecan and Lemon Coconut.
Findings: A little chalky and not as flavorful as bars with more calories, but is a healthier option and competitively priced. Great before or after a workout!
Jade Monk
So you like green tea? Have you ever tried matcha green tea? It’s a little stronger and richer in flavor and will give you the get up and go you need without the crash of coffee. Jade Monk is sweetened with just a hint of stevia and cane juice and comes in four delicious flavors; Cranberry Blood Orange, Chai Spice, Palau Peach and Lime Blossom. Matcha green tea is full of antioxidants! My favorite way to serve it: as a latte with frothed almond milk.
Findings: All flavors are delicious but Palau Peach and Lime Blossom are my favorites.
Keen-Wah Decadence Bar from Yoga Earth
These gluten-free superfood bars are delicious. Flavors come in Cayenne & Cinnamon, Chocolate Chia and Coconut Almond all of which are great. Superfoods like quinoa, chia and almonds are coated in chocolate with protein thrown into the mix. I love these bars anytime of the day but I also love that Yoga Earth is a sustainable company trying to make a difference in the world.
Findings: All flavors are delicious and Cayenne/Cinnamon is my favorite.
Anti-Oxidant Facial Cleanser and Soap by Dr. Woods
I had never heard of Dr. Woods until they sent me samples. I’m a sucker for new smelly good body care products and I’m always open to trying something new to see if I like it better than my current product. The cleanser comes in Black Soap (gentle, daily, all skin types) and Tea Tree (absorb excess oil, declogs and shrink pores) and I love the way it smells and feels on my face. The cleanser is Vegan, Paraben & Phthalate Free, No Petroleum Derivatives, No SLS and the soap is even gluten-free! I LOVE exfoliating soaps so I might just have to try every scent they have.
Findings: Made with organic shea butter and botanical extracts, this cleanser heals and regenerates. All products made with natural ingredients, no animal ingredients or animal tested. It’s a vegan’s dream. The cucumber is calling my name.

I’m completely hooked on 100% Pure. Their lip gloss makes me feel like I’m 12 again in a really good way. It applies with a brush in tube, and it gives the lips a sticky glow to them. Plus, it’s moisturizing in this dry, winter weather.
